Heller in Pink Tights

Offbeast western, based on a novel by Louis L'Amour, that follows the adventures of a seedy vaudeville troupe in the 1880s. Manager Tom Healy (Quinn) stays barely ahead of his creditors, with Angela (Loren) as his leading asset (and Loren's assets are the film's highlight). She dallys with gunslinger Clint Mabry (Forest), who pursues her out of town and there's an Indian attack and more gunslinging until the troupe manages to find a safe haven. The story was hardly sophisticated director Cukor's specialty, which may account for the unbelievable characters and confused plot.
