An ex-racer makes a bet to deliver a souped-up car from Denver to San Francisco in 15 hours. Taking pep pills along the way, he eludes police, meets up with a number of characters, and finally crashes into a roadblock. Rock score helps attract this film's cult following.

...and weird psychodrama flashbacks, and anti-authoritarian themes, this is a hell of a movie. Amazing car chases, an interesting anti-hero you never quite get to know, and Cleavon Little walking away with the movie as DJ Super Soul make this a classic. Mopar guys especially will love it, as will folks who liked Tarrantino's Deathproof, which refers to it almost constantly.
