Food of the Gods

On a secluded island giant rats, chickens, and other creatures crave human flesh, blood, bones, etc. This cheap, updated version of the H. G. Wells novel suffers from lousy performances and a lack of imagination.

Have to give it a "1" for the cheese factor
KHL at 2009-01-22 11:10:18
Just watched this movie on the new "This!" TV channel (yes, I do not have cable), and had to give it a rating for best cheese factor. Giant rats, chickens and wasps overtake a small forest town, brought on by Ida Lupino (former great actress and pioneer female film director) feeding them a mysterious mixture of some oatmeal-type stuff coming up from a local spring, combined with chicken feed, which creates gigantic mutant creatures bent on destroying mankind. If you're scared of rats, this may freak you out (kinda like "The Birds"), but if not, it's just a fun movie that is begging for an MST3000 episode.
