High Sierra

Bogart is Roy "Mad Dog" Earle, an aging gangster whose last job goes bad, so he's hiding out from the police in the High Sierras with a dame and a dog. He's also juggling a soft spot for a down-on-their luck farm family that reminds him of home. Bogart's first starring role. Based on the novel by W.R. Burnett. Remade in 1955 as "I Died A Thousand Times." Also available colorized.
