The Housemaid
Im's melodramatic reimaging rather than a straight-up remake of Ki-young Kim's 1960 classic psycho-drama. Naive Euny (Jeon) is hired to help out at the home of wealthy businessman Hoon (Lee) and his pregnant wife Hera (Woo). Hoon thinks nothing of seducing his young servant but passive Euny winds up pregnant and, when the affair is discovered, Hera's cold-blooded mother decides to use money to solve the problem and protect their pampered lives. Korean with subtitles.
