Bollain's fifth feature is a political morality tale about capitalism that occasionally descends into the preachy. Penny-pinching film producer Costa (Tosar), director Sebastian (Garcia Bernal) and their cast and crew come to Bolivia to make a revisionist film about Christopher Columbus' exploitation of the natives and the Taino chief who lead a rebellion against the Spanish. The film bleeds into reality as rabble-rouser Daniel (Aduviri) gets hired for a lead role at the same time he's protesting the government's privatization of the water supply, which is ruinous for the poverty-stricken locals. Spanish with subtitles.
