Old English
Stagebound drama adapted from the John Galsworthy story and play. Octogenarian Sylvanus Heythorp is the managing director of a shipbuilding firm. He wants to provide for the widow and children of his deceased illegitimate son so he strikes a shady deal but is exposed. Unwilling to suffer a scandal Heythorp decides to commit gastronomic suicide (rich foods will kill him).
