With no job and no self-esteem, failed writer Eddie (charismatic Cooper) is ready to try an experimental designer smart drug--made to use 100 percent of the human brain--when it's offered. The drug does exactly as promised (with some potentially lethal side effects) and Eddie soon becomes a very successful jerk. His new Wall Street wizardry also draws the attention of mogul Carl Van Loon (De Niro) and a lot of even more sinister types as well. Adapted from Alan Glynn's 2001 novel "The Dark Fields."
