Battle: Los Angeles

Sci-fi action for those who just want to be entertained by the loud, undemanding, and familiar. Stoic Marine Staff Sgt. Nantz (Eckhart) and his platoon are the last line of defense, first on the Santa Monica streets, and then L.A. when Earth is attacked by outer space invaders who want to colonize our planet. There's no wink-wink to the audience as the script and the actors take their mission seriously as good soldiers should amidst all the pyrotechnics.
