Haunting Lifetime drama based on a true story. In 1979, conservative, religious mom Mary Griffith (Weaver) is appalled to learn that her teenage son Bobby (Kelley) is gay. She forces him into therapy but all that does is eventually drive him away from home and into a suicidal despair. What follows is Mary's tearjerking quest to understand what happened and reconcile it with her spiritual beliefs.
