Vignettes about the search for spiritual fulfillment by various New Yorkers are weakly strung together in Imperioli's director/writer debut. Irresponsible coke-addicted gambler Frank is a lousy parent to teenage son Matthew, who disappears from his therapy session while Frank battles with ex-wife Sharon. Meanwhile, Nadia refuses to get back together with ex-boyfriend Gus, who's just out of alcohol rehab and doesn't take her rejection well.
