711 Ocean Drive
Telephone repairman Mal Granger (O'Brien) gets involved with bookies Vince (Kelley) and Larry (Porter) when he fixes up a system to bring in results from far away tracks. When both bookies are murdered, an increasingly reprehensible Mal takes over the operation but big-timer Carl Stephens (Kruger) decides to muscle in. The climax takes place at Hoover Dam.
