Valerie (Turner), Leigh (Day), and Ann (Peters) join the Women's Army Corp for different reasons: party girl Valerie has been financially cut off and has to prove herself to the family trustees, Leigh is an Army brat looking to become an officer, and Ann just wants to be closer to her enlisted husband. Then the trio learns they need to rally around each other as well as the flag.
