True crime story covers the 2001 murder of multi-millionaire investment banker Ted Ammon (Sutcliffe), which sends shockwaves through the tony Hamptons. Though Ted, wife Generosa Rand (Montgomery), and their two adopted children appear to have it all, flashbacks reveal that Generosa is succumbing to the crazies and her paranoia leads to divorce proceedings and a new man in her life, working-class Danny Pelosi (Christian).
