ER nurse Jamie (Chabert) suffers a bad case of grief and guilt when her hospitalized estranged father dies while she is with another patient. Her out-of-control emotions get her transferred to long-term care where elderly cancer patient Mrs. Esienbloom (Rowlands) hires Jamie as a home nurse. Though terminally ill, Mrs. Eisenbloom has unwavering faith, which leads Jamie to examine her own lack of belief. Based in part on the novel by TV psychic John Edwards.
