Ray Fulton (Itzin) is the 55-year-old owner of a popular ice cream parlor. After a bewildering separation from his wife, Ray moves in with manager Gevorg (Titizian) and former employee Ramon (Asuncion) to try to figure things out. Ray's daughter Emily (Cohan) arrives to help and impresses the womanizing Gevorg while Ramon contemplates a marriage of convenience to Gevorg's beautiful Armenian cousin Susannah (Saraci) who wants a green card.
