Disney's musical take on the classic Rapunzel tale, brought to life in 3D computer animation. Princess Rapunzel (voiced by Moore) has been stolen from her parents and locked up by her evil adopted mother (Murphy) in a tower accessible to no one, allowing her magical golden locks to flow 70 feet long. Confused, and co-dependent on her mother (it's a new millennium, after all) she enlists the help of a smug thief (Levi) to break her out of this private prison. Despite straying from the original Grimm's fairy tale, the musical numbers never get too gooey, still retaining a sense of dread. As with the cartoons of Disney's golden age, adults can connect just as easily as the kids.
