Ego and greed dominate this version of the 2004 founding of ubiquitous social networking site Facebook by Harvard sophomore Mark Zuckerberg (Eisenberg) and others. Mark is a geek genius but also a socially insecure braggart whose partnership with confident friend Eduardo Saverin (Garfield) turns them into successes. Their site draws the attention of entrepreneur Sean Parker (Timberlake) and leads to the usual betrayals and lawsuits, although no one comes across as innocent or blameless. Viewers will press "like" for director Fincher's gripping though uncharacteristic flick, as well as the excellent performances and whip-smart screenplay by Sorkin. Adapted from Ben Mezrich's "The Accidental Billionaires."
