Irritatingly sentimental and contrived story has mentally challenged Anton (Casseus) obsessively listening and singing to operatic tenor arias. A natural tenor himself, Anton suddenly decides to leave home and try and find a way to get to Italy. Having no street smarts, he's a target for every hustler and con in New York, including Wes (Wayans) who introduces Anton to piano-playing Matthew (Camargo) as a way to make a few bucks.
