Dead or Alive

With director Miike it should be obvious this will not be a normal Japanese Yakuza film. Ryuuichi (Takeuchi) is an ethnic Chinese born in Japan, meaning he's permanently persona non grata in both countries (so he has no problem starting a mob war between the Yakuza and the Triads). Detective Jojima (Aikawa) is assigned to solve whatever the heck is going on and it quickly becomes personal between him and Ryuuichi. Filled with filth and perversion and is more of a black comedy than a serious mob film.
