Torchy Runs for Mayor

The eighth entry in the series and the last for Farrell and MacLane. Torchy can't get any of the big city papers to print her expose of corrupt city politics and it finally runs in a small town weekly. This leads to a recall election for Mayor John Saunders and, as a joke, boyfriend detective Steve McBride enters Torchy's name in the race as a reform candidate. However, while continuing her investigation, Torchy decides to campaign for real.
