In this sequel to "Nosotros Los Pobres," we learn Pepe (Infante) has gotten married to his sweetheart and is no longer in prison. But the real parents of his daughter Chachita (Munoz) come calling to take her away, and an old enemy escapes from prison swearing revenge. Somewhat darker than the first film, it definitely portrays life in 1940s Mexico as problematic.
