Remarkable Power

Two parallel storylines converge in the final act so the audience doesn't feel cheated by writer/director Beckner's plot-filled black comedy. First there's a news report about the death of L.A. late-night talk show host Jack West (Nealon). Flashbacks reveal that Jack's show was cancelled and he hired PI Van Hagen (Arnold) after learning that his wife was cheating on him. Meanwhile, loner Ross (Peters) accidentally kills an infomercial actor after buying the book the man was touting and then takes over his life. Oh, and Van Hagen teams up with blogger Athena (Zehetner) to find the connection between Ross, Jack, and Russian mobsters.
