Japanese War Bride
When he's wounded and hospitalized in Japan, Korean War vet Jim is cared for by Japanese nurse Tae and they fall in love and marry. Jim brings his bride home to the farming community of Salinas, California, and is met with lingering anti-Japanese sentiment, particularly from his own family, while Tae tries to maintain her dignity amidst the hostility.
