The Oath
Poitra's highly-detailed documentary follows radical Islamic tactics through the eyes of Abu Jandal, a taxi driver in Yemen who was once Osama bin Laden's bodyguard. Intensely engaging, Jandal reveals much of what has been hidden from the American media following the World Trade Center attack. Unraveling his terrorist history, Jandal relates the chilling truths of the story of his brother-in-law and Al-Qaeda recruit Salim Hamdan, currently held at Guantanamo Bay on terrorism charges. The second in a planned trilogy on post-9/11 American policy, following Poitra's powerful 2006 Iraq documentary "My Country, My Country."
