Mesrine: Part 1--Killer Instinct

Brutal crime drama based on the true story of French criminal Jacques Mesrine (Cassel), who was killed in 1979. Flashbacks depict the beginnings of his activities over the 20 previous years, including a move to Quebec (after trouble in Paris) and time in prison (from which he escapes). As played by Cassel, Mesrine is violent, intelligent, and charismatic--a dangerous combination for both the cops and his fellow criminals. Partially adapted from Mesrine's memoir.
