Having survived death, Jonah Hex (Brolin), a scarred, gunslinging bounty hunter, has ties to both the natural and supernatural worlds. Shortly after the Civil War, veteran Hex was forced to watch as sadistic voodoo practitioner Quentin Turnbull (Malkovich) murdered his family then branded his face, leaving him for dead. Years later, without much explanation, Hex finds himself on a military mission to prevent Turnbull from unleashing Hell on Earth. Starts off sizzling, but soon loses all steam, struggling to maintain focus for its pathetically short runtime with Fox serving mostly as eye candy as Hex's hooker girlfriend.
