Jack Brown, Genius
Offbeat fantasy, written by Peter Jackson and Fran Walsh, concerns a medieval monk named Elmer (Devenie) who tried to fly (shades of Icarus) and wound up killing himself instead. Somehow Elmer briefly gets his spirit out of Hell and into the modern mind of inventor Jack Brown (Balme). Now he has to get Jack to invent a contraption that will allow man himself to fly so Elmer's soul can get into Heaven instead.
