George White's Scandals
RKO musical based on White's Broadway revues has a flimsy plot to tie the many production numbers together. Performer Joan (Davis) announces she's engaged to Jack (Haley) much to the disapproval of his sister Clarabelle (Hamilton). Stage manager Tom (Terry) hires new dancer Jill (Holliday) and they fall in love. But there's obstacles to their romance too since she's hiding her identity as an English socialite so she won't embarrass her parents.
