City Beneath the Sea
Irwin Allen TV pilot movie has Admiral Mike Matthews (Whitman) forced to return to his former command in the undersea city of Pacifica where his old crew doesn't trust him. The city is about to store a highly-unstable radioactive explosive, which must be surrounded by the USA's gold reserves for safety's sake. Naturally, an asteroid is headed towards earth and thieves want to get to the gold when Matthews' orders an evacuation of the city.
