Splatter horror with some good visuals and really stupid plot elements. In 1936, Nazi occultist Richard Wirth (Fassbinder) travels to a West Virginia farmhouse owned by German immigrants to examine a rune stone's demonic abilities. Decades pass and EMT worker Evan Marshall (Cavill) is shocked when his missing brother Victor (Purcell) suddenly turns up horribly scarred, claiming he was held hostage at the same farmhouse and they must stop what is happening there. Which involves Wirth.
