Two Seconds
Hammy crime melodrama. The press arrives at a prison to witness the electric chair execution of convicted murderer John Allen (Robinson). Flashbacks detail the trouble that derails the friendship of ironworker Allen and his pal Bud Clark (Foster) which eventually leads to Allen winding up on Death Row. Title refers to the time it takes the electrical current to reach the chair's occupant.
