Four's a Crowd

Rather complicated screwball comedy with some unexpected romantic complications. With her newspaper about to fold, reporter Jean Christy (Russell) persuades publisher Patterson Buckley (Knowles) to rehire former editor Robert Lansford (Flynn), who's now doing public relations. Ambitious Lansford wants to get tightwad millionaire John Dillingwell (Connolly) as a client and change his image using the media so he agrees, especially after meeting Dillingwell's daughter Lorri (de Havilland). Jean says Lorri is her romantic rival for Patterson, but later Lansford decides he's in love with Lorri and Dillingwell doesn't approve in either case.
