Rockumentary about the aging, working-class Canadian metal band that seemed on the brink of stardom in the mid-1980s and instead faded into obscurity. Lead vocalist Steve 'Lips' Kudlow and drummer Robb Reiner have been playing together since the age of 14 and their early LPs influenced more successful speed-metal bands. But with only modest hits and a mismanaged European tour, they were dropped by their label. Still playing clubs (with two additional rotating members), they have day jobs to support their families while working on a comeback album. You have to admire their persistence and optimism if nothing else.
