The Line

A bilingual crime drama with some action, a lot of character study, and some twists to keep things interesting. Salazar (Garcia), the head of a Tijuana cartel, is dying and has already passed on his power to unstable second-in-command Pelon (Morales). Against Salazar's wishes, Pelon makes a deal with Afghani terrorists to trade heroin for U.S. smuggling routes. Shady U.S. authorities secretly hire hitman Shields (Liotta) to off Pelon, but Shields is sidetracked by a guilt complex. English and Spanish with subtitles.
