Couples Retreat
Troubled Midwestern marrieds Jason (Bateman) and Cynthia (Bell) persuade three pairs of friends to join them at the Eden Resort in Bora Bora where they can work on their relationship in a series of workshops while the others have fun in the sun. Upon arrival, their couples counselor Marcel (Reno) informs them that all four couples must participate (willingly or not--mostly not), leading to generally mainstream comedic moments. The scenery impresses more than the script or the acting, which are both bland.
