Cynthia "Babe" Laval (Hobart) is an aging lady of the evening who has become Atlantic City's most influential madam, controlling almost every call girl in town. Her real aim is to meet the man of her dreams, but she's caught between her desire for Wade Hollister (Rawlinson), a dull soap company executive, and the decidedly more dangerous Bill Bradley (Heyburn), who runs an illicit gambling joint. The two suitors clash, and Bradley gets nasty when he thinks he may be cut out of Babe's future plans. The plot is thin but classic Atlantic City attractions play a co-starring role.
