Larceny in her Heart
Private eye Michael Shayne (Beaumont) is asked to track down the missing stepdaughter of a local bigwig. Shayne figures out that the stepdaughter has been committed to an asylum, presumably by the bigwig who purports to be searching for her. Then Shayne's client shows up dead and the mystery deepens.
