Say It With Songs
Carousing radio singer Joe Lane (Jolson) accidentally kills his boss Arthur (Thomson) after he made a sleazy pass at Joe's neglected missus Katherine (Nixon). While Joe's in prison, Katherine goes back to work as a nurse to support herself and their son (Lee) and surgeon Burnes (Bowers) falls for her. Joe gets paroled but more heartbreak follows. Jolson's first full-length, all-talkie (plus the usual singing) film.
