Goodbye Solo
Taciturn codger William makes a deal with Senegalese immigrant cabbie Solo, hiring Solo to take him on a one-way ride to Winston-Salem's nearby Blowing Rock National Park in two weeks time. Realizing the old man plans to commit suicide, the effusive Solo tries to change William's mind by forcibly befriending him--having William meet his family, taking him on jaunts around the city, and trying to get William to talk about his unhappy past while Solo reveals his own hopes for the future.
