Lemmon plays a conniving enlisted man in this military comedy. Bored WWII GIs, stationed at an Army medical unit in France, decide to liven things up by throwing a party for the nurses at a local hotel. Fast-talking Pvt. Hogan (Lemmon) must sneak around by-the-book Capt. Locke (Kovacs) since the nurses are officers and the enlisted men can't fraternize with them. Kovacs's screen debut.
