Scandal Sheet

Crawford is compelling as bullying editor Mark Chapman, who turns a respected New York newspaper into a tabloid and boosts circulation through a series of stunts. Protege reporter McCleary (Derek) thinks it's great but writer gal pal Julie (Reed) finds Chapman a sleaze. Chapman's past comes back to haunt him and he's involved in a murder, which is then investigated by McCleary who turns out to be more tenacious that Chapman gave him credit for. Based on Samuel Fuller's novel "The Dark Page."
