Down-and-out Joan (Arthur) is looking for work when she meets Jim (Marshall) on a park bench and assumes he needs a job too. Jim is actually an auto exec who's fed up with his board of directors and thinks it would be fun to play hooky for awhile. He agrees to Joan's idea to pretend to be a married so they can apply for the cook and butler positions at mobster (and gourmet) Mike Rossini's (Carrillo) mansion. Confusion follows.
