We Were Dancing
Shearer made only one more film after this frothy effort before retiring from acting and it's a loose adaptation of Noel Coward's play "Tonight at 8:30." Penniless Vicki (Shearer) is engaged to wealthy Hubert Tyler (Bowman) but abandons him for dashing Nicki (Douglas) under the impression he has dough. He thinks the same about her and they get married before realizing they're a couple of cons. Trying another scam, the duo are exposed by Nicki's ex-lover Linda (Patrick) but it doesn't stop them for long.
