Adoration

High-school French teacher Sabine (Khanjian) gives her class a translation exercise based on a news story about a terrorist and his pregnant girlfriend. Student Simon (Bostick) has a lot of unresolved feelings about his parents' death in a car crash, especially since his bigoted grandfather (Welsh) has led Simon to believe that his Lebanese father deliberately caused the accident. Simon uses the article to imagine himself as the terrorist's now-grown son but presents his work as fact not fiction when he uses a webcam to take the story to internet chat rooms, which has the deception spiraling out of control. English and French with subtitles.

And, yet, I still kind of ...Read More
