Low-budget crime noir from John Wayne's Batjac production company. Locksmith Tommy Dancer (Campbell) is hired by hood Willis Trent (Kroeger) for a simple job and then is invited to a party at Trent's where he meets wealthy Betty (Sharpe). She's on the rebound from her cheating lawyer beau Farraday (Keys), but is out of Tommy's pay scale. At least until Trent offers Tommy a lot of dough to make keys to open a safety deposit box that happens to belong to crime boss DeCamp (Seay), which is just asking for trouble.
