Hard-drinking, washed-up country singer Bo Price returns to his Tennessee hometown when five soldiers are killed in a training accident. One is Bo's younger brother and another is the sibling of Angela Delton, whom Bo abandoned when she got pregnant. Angela returns with their 16-year-old daughter Dixie, but the Deltons prefer to keep their distance from Bo, who wants to make amends.
