During an FBI sting to capture the notorious Irish terrorist, Miles Jackson (Gillen), things go wrong and detective Danny Fisher (Cena) accidentally kills the terrorist's girlfriend. One year later Jackson busts out of prison and kidnaps Fisher's wife in an act of revenge. The detective then must pass 12 violent challenges in order to save her and take down the deadly con on the streets of New Orleans during Mardi Gras. Veteran action director Harlin loads up on the standard barrage of car chases and fist-pumping action, but a shoddy script leaves much to be explained. WWE wrestler Cena proves capable of handling his new career but he's no Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, as sad as that may sound.
