Bride-to-be, Susan (Witherspoon) is struck by a meteorite on her wedding day, causing her to suddenly grow to nearly 50-feet tall. The army immediately drops in to sweep the giant bride off to a top-secret military silo. While inside, Susan, renamed Ginormica, meets four other misfit monsters confined to the prison-like conditions--a dimwitted blob (Rogan), a cockroach humanoid mad scientist (Laurie), a courageous fishman creature (Arnett), and a giant snot-shooting caterpillar. They are soon released into society with the intention of stopping the impending assault on planet Earth from evil alien mastermind, Gallaxhar (Wilson). Smart animated Dreamworks feature disguised as a '50s B-movie, loaded with quick sci-fi references and outrageous sight gags for both kiddies and their parents. Initially released as an IMAX 3-D extravaganza.

A monsterous film with big laughs. freakformovies at 2009-05-16 18:50:12
Monsters vs. Aliens is a really funny film. It has Resse Witherspoon as the 40 foot tall woman Susan, Seth Rogan as the indestructable and gelantions B. O .B. House's Hugh Lurie as Dr. Cockroach Ph.D, Will Artnett as The Missing Link, Rainn Wilson as the evil Gallaxara, Stehen Colbert as The President of the United States, Kiefer Sutherland as Genral W. R. Monger, and Paul Rudd as (almost Susan's husband) Derek Dietel. This film has a great cast of its charcters. Monsters vs. Aliens is a three and a half bone movie that is really action-packed and that is really funny.
