Palminteri is in familiar territory as a crooked gambler and bad dad. Joe heads up a group of con artists who scam unsuspecting marks at various gambling venues from Atlantic City to Vegas. One thing not going his way is the sudden reappearance of his mentally-handicapped 20-year-old son, Joe Jr. (Guiry), whose aggression has gotten him kicked out of his group home. The kid resents dad's parental neglect and dad resents the kid upsetting his plans. Think they can find some common ground and come to an understanding?
